I think I became a photographer because I’m a little obsessed with people. I love people!!
I love watching people interact, the things that make them laugh, and especially the little moments they don’t even realize are happening.
I’ve learned that life doesn’t slow down just because we want it to.
Kids grow. Families change. Hair gets longer (and then shorter again), favorite clothes get outgrown, and the things that feel so normal today become the things we’d give anything to remember later.
Photography gives me a reason to stop for a minute and say, “Hey. Look at this. This matters.” Photography gives us a way to go back.
Not just to remember what someone looked like, but to remember who we were. To hear the laughter in your head. To remember how small they felt in your arms. To see the way your family loved each other in that particular season of life.
That’s why I photograph people.
I want to freeze the things you’re afraid you’ll forget.
The ordinary moments.
The messy moments.
The beautiful moments.
The people you love most.
Because someday, these photographs may be more than pictures.
They may be the closest thing you have to stepping back into a moment you thought you’d never get back.
And that, to me, is why what I do matters.
